Depth of Colour

Before graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Sabine Marcelis studied Industrial Design at the Victoria University of Wellington. Her work is the result of a thorough investigation into material properties and how they can be visually exploited through form and timeless design.

For this project, Marcelis experimented with new ways of injecting colour into materials such as resin, metal, and glass.

Due to her close collaboration with various manufacturers and involvement in the production process, Marcelis succeeds in creating materials that offer new visual effects and aesthetic qualities.
